Strategic Growth: Five Years of Progress

April 28, 2026

In 2021, Re:Build Manufacturing acquired Cutting Dynamics, a respected aerospace manufacturer with a track record of delivering high-quality aerospace components. Five years later, Re:Build Cutting Dynamics has built upon this strong foundation to become an even more capable, trusted aerospace partner, consistently delivering precision components with proven reliability and expanded resources. This milestone isn’t just about growth. It’s about the measurable customer benefits achieved through strategic investment, operational excellence, and an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement. Re:Build Cutting Dynamics has the expertise needed to be your trusted aerospace partner throughout the life of your program: Contact our team today to discuss your aerospace manufacturing needs.

Strategic Investment Drives Integrated Capabilities

The acquisition by Re:Build Manufacturing brought transformational capital investment and resources that directly benefit customers. Over five years, we’ve added 14 new machines, expanded our precision machining facility with a $3 million building addition, and grown our team by about 100 people. Our operations now span 220,000 square feet across four facilities, supporting precision machining, hydroforming, titanium hot-forming, thermoplastic composites, assembly, and kitting capabilities.

As a trusted aerospace partner, we’ve maintained our AS9100D, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 certifications while achieving CMMC Level 2 certification. These represent systematic quality controls that protect your program integrity and reduce supply chain risk.

The investment strategy balanced capacity expansion with targeted capability enhancements, guided by a simple question from Re:Build’s leadership: what do you do well, what should you be doing more of, and what can you do more of successfully? While capacity additions have been the primary focus to meet customer demand, we’ve also made strategic capability upgrades, including a 5-axis machine with a 28-pallet system, a mill-turn machine that broadened our turning capabilities, and an upgraded 600-ton thermoplastic composite press, now one of the largest in the country. Our growth strategy remains flexible, prioritizing investments in either capacity or capability based on what best serves the business and our customers. Looking forward, we’re exploring expansion into larger-format machining.

This expansion means customers can source complete aircraft assemblies, precision-machined components, and comprehensive kitting solutions from a single AS9100-certified provider. Our OEM-authorized Phase Maintenance Inspection Kits feature validated parts with full lot traceability and color-coded packaging, streamlining maintenance operations while ensuring compliance. We now deliver solutions that would have required multiple suppliers just five years ago.

Partnership-Driven Performance

Our ability to collaborate across Re:Build companies has created unique customer value that we couldn’t deliver alone. Through integrated project management and combined engineering resources, we’ve helped customers uncover undocumented manufacturing requirements, provided design for manufacturability feedback early in the development phase, and scaled production capabilities to support rapid growth.

Quality Elevated Through Strategic Collaboration

Since joining Re:Build Manufacturing, our quality approach has evolved from maintaining standards to actively partnering with customers on program success. We now engage early in the design phase to identify manufacturing considerations that previous suppliers hadn’t communicated, helping refine drawings, specifications, and work standards before production begins.

This builds programs that succeed long-term. Traditional suppliers might simply build to print. As a trusted aerospace partner within Re:Build’s network, we bring cross-company engineering resources and expertise that help customers optimize their designs while maintaining performance requirements, value that Cutting Dynamics couldn’t have provided alone five years ago.

Sustained Growth Through Open Communication

The difference between pre-acquisition Cutting Dynamics and today extends beyond capital investment. It’s a fundamental shift in how we approach growth. Previously, expansion required highly strategic, well-defined business cases due to capital constraints. Today, leadership asks: what do you need?

This creates a healthy, open forum for growth conversations. Employees see equipment arriving, new team members joining, and facilities expanding. They hear leadership discuss future capacity needs and adjacent capabilities that could strengthen our offerings. This transparent approach to growth planning builds confidence and aligns our entire organization around shared goals.

Looking Forward Together

Five years after our acquisition, Re:Build Cutting Dynamics stands as a trusted aerospace partner with proven performance. Our 40-year foundation combined with strategic investment and operational excellence positions us to support your most demanding programs. We’re planning second-shift expansions to increase capacity, exploring facility additions to accommodate future growth, and evaluating adjacent capabilities that would further strengthen our value proposition.
